The Jerusalem Circus in cooperation with TeamTowers are Building a multi-cultural Human Pyramid in Jerusalem

On Friday, December 30, 2005, 150 people; Jews, Muslims and Christians – will build Jerusalem’s first human pyramid to celebrate Hanukah, Id-al-Adha, Christmas, and New Year 2006

On Friday, December 30, 2005 at 10:00 A.M. 150 people; Jews, Muslims and Christians – will build Jerusalem’s first human pyramid (known as Castells in Catalonia) to celebrate Hanukah, Id-al-Adha, Christmas, and New Year 2006. The Human Pyramid will be built in Mifal Hapayis Sports Hall, Denmark School, Jerusalem, in collaboration with TeamTowers, of Barcelona-Spain.

The Jerusalem Circus serves as a platform for the creation of a dialogue between Jews and Arabs in Israel, where Jewish and Arab youth meet, practice and train together in an atmosphere of respect and cooporation. The Jerusalem Circus is a not for profit organization based in Jerusalem and supported by The Abraham Fund Initiatives and the Alan B. Slifka Foundation.

Human castles, sometimes reaching over ten stories in height, and symbolizing cooperation and mutual trust, are a 250-year tradition in Catalonia. On the eve of 2006, the Jerusalem Circus adopts this tradition and dedicates Jerusalem's first human pyramid to children everywhere;the children of Jerusalem’s communities and children of the entire world.
